Rajganj, 29th August: Sensation prevailed after a toto parked in front of a house was stolen. This incident is from the Pashchim Dhantala area under Fulbari gram panchayat No. 2, late Sunday night.
Reportedly, the toto driver, Mangala Das returned home at around 11 pm on Sunday night after a long day of work. He parked the toto in front of his house. Later, at around 3 am, when he came out to charge the toto he found it missing. Despite the rain, he looked for the vehicle at various places, but did not find it. It is being speculated that the thieves took advantage of the heavy rainfall and fled away with the toto.
Mangala Das lodged a complaint in this regard at New Jalpaiguri police station. With the help of the toto, he was the sole breadwinner of the family. The whole family is under stress after the incident.
