Siliguri, 28th September: Tension arose over bike parking in Siliguri’s Khudiram Pally where a teenager has been accused of vandalizing a bike and beating up an MR. The incident created unrest in the said area. The accused youth is said to be a relative of a Trinamool leader.
Allegedly, the youth suddenly started vandalizing a bike which was parked on the road. Furthermore, when the MR tried to stop him, the youth attacked the MR too.
The police of the Panitanki outpost reached the spot as soon as the news of the incident was received. After which the teenager apologized to the police for his action. Apparently, the problem of bike parking in Khudiram Pally has been going on for a long time. Local residents said that they will take the matter to the Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
