Temporary employees of North Bengal University staged a sit-in protest demanding a salary hike

Siliguri, 05th September: The temporary employees of North Bengal University joined the strike and staged a sit-in protest demanding hike in salary. Today, the temporary employees of North Bengal University joined the demonstration by going on strike for two hours in the administrative building of the university.


The temporary employees alleged that the salary has not been increased even after constantly informing the management for a long time. They added that more than 400 temporary employees are working at the university.

Salary has not been increased for a long time. They warned that if the salary is not increased in the coming days, they will stage a massive protest. However, no response has come to the fore from the university management in this regard.
