Siliguri, 01st July: Guardians of Siliguri Margaret School had earlier started a movement demanding waiver of school fees amid the pandemic. This time, the students themselves joined the movement to demand fee waivers.
The students of classes XI and XII staged a protest in front of the school on Thursday morning. They said that despite the school being closed amid the pandemic, the school authorities are demanding extra fees. As many are living in severe crisis at the moment, they demanded to waive off the fees.
Although the students tried to meet the school’s headmaster, they were allegedly not allowed to do so. The students also warned to stage movement if their demands are not met.
