State to introduce Rajbangshi language in primary level curriculum

Siliguri, 06th January: After the Rajganjgshi community demanded a separate board and official recognition of its language, the state government has taken an initiative to introduce a primary level curriculum in the Rajbangshi language.


During a press conference, State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb said that 200 schools in North Bengal are being identified for introducing the Rajbangshi language at the primary level. The state government has also decided to introduce a curriculum in the Kamatapuri language.
