The Special Protection Group (SPG) Director Arun Kumar Sinha, passed away at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Wednesday. The SPG held the responsibility for the security of the Prime Minister of the country.
Arun Kumar Sinha was a 1987 Kerala Cadre IPS Officer and was recently given a one-year extension. The IPS Officer had been posted as SPG Chief since 2016. As per reports, on 04th September, Arun Kumar Sinha was admitted to Medanta Hospital. He had been unwell for the past few months.
