Siliguri, 06th August: The Bandana Apartment located at Ashram Para Sharda Muni Road housed the biggest drug den in the city. The place is located in Ward No. 14 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Special Operation Group (SOG) arrested a couple from the apartment by running a campaign in the den.
The alleged couple has been identified as Sandeep Biswas alias Chhotka and Pinky Saha Choudhary. Reportedly, the couple had been running this illicit drug business from the apartment. According to SOG sources, on the basis of a tip-off, the SOG with the help of the Panitanki Out Post, raided the fourth floor of the apartment in Ashram Para today.
During this, a search was conducted where a large number of banned drug injections were recovered from inside the house. After which the said couple were arrested under the supervision of Deputy Magistrate Narendra Kalikote. It is also reported that the accused Sandeep is no new to the crime of this black business. He has also been arrested many times. The police of the Panitanki outpost will produce the arrested couple in the Siliguri court tomorrow.
