Social activist Prabir Singh helps the musicians of Siliguri on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti

Siliguri, 08th May: On the auspicious occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, Prabir Singh, a social worker and a resident of Ward No. 34, with the assistance of his family members, extended his helping hand towards the musicians of Siliguri amid COVID-19 pandemic.


Due to the lockdown, the musicians are said to have no source of income ever since the lockdown was imposed and are struggling to make ends meet. Learning about their helpless situation, Prabir Singh stepped forward and distributed ration among 400 poor families in various parts of the city.

In this context, Singh stated that he has been associated with music since his childhood. Hence, considering the plight of the musicians from different sections of the city, he decided to celebrate the 159th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in a unique way and stated that it was a pleasure to help them.
