Siliguri, 29th June: The sacred ‘Snan Yatra’ of Lord Jagannath was observed at the ISKCON Temple in Siliguri on Monday. A festive atmosphere prevailed at the temple premises from the morning, with a large number of devotees gathering to participate in the celebrations.
As part of the rituals, temple priests ceremonially bathed the idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra with water from 108 sacred pots in accordance with traditional customs.
Special kirtan, bhajans, and distribution of prasad were also organised at the temple to mark the occasion.
According to the temple authorities, the annual ‘Snan Yatra’ celebrations were conducted smoothly this year as well.
