Siliguri, 22nd May: Renowned sportsperson and lawyer of Siliguri, Malay Chakraborty passed away at the age of 80. Despite being a lawyer by profession, he was a sports enthusiast. Apart from being a member of the Siliguri Bar Association, he actively held posts of several social organization including Vivekananda Club, Upkar Athletic Club, President of Sports Committee, Table Tennis Association.
Manoj Verma, Cricket Secretary of Siliguri Sub-Divisional Council for Sports stated that Malay Chakraborty’s death has caused irreparable damage to the sports world. Lawyer Kamal Agarwal also expressed grief over his demise.
