Siliguri, 15th June: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Siliguri Metropolitan Police achieved a crucial breakthrough in the ongoing investigation of the Blue Mountain Hotel prostitution case with the apprehension of the fifth suspect. The arrested individual has been identified as Sandeep Konde, also known as Sandy.
Earlier, the SOG, along with undercover cops from the Pradhan Nagar police station, successfully uncovered the prostitution racket operating within the premises of the Blue Mountain Hotel, situated in the Dagapur area of Siliguri. As a result, four individuals were previously taken into custody. The arrested suspects include Raju Sarkar, Vineet Gautam, Abhishek Gautam, and Iqbal Ahmed Hashmi. Subsequent investigations and interrogations led to the identification of Sandeep Konde alias Sandy as another key figure involved in the illicit activities.
According to reports, Sandy allegedly played a role in facilitating the provision of women to Raju Sarkar. Notably, he was previously arrested last year for running a similar prostitution racket disguised as a spa within a shopping mall in Matigara, Siliguri. However, Sandy was released on bail after a short period of detention. Unfortunately, he finds himself facing similar charges once again after his recent arrest.
Meanwhile, the police continue their relentless efforts to apprehend any other individuals involved in the prostitution racket. Today, Sandy was produced before the Siliguri Court, where a request for remand was made to facilitate further investigation into the case.
