Siliguri, 23rd August: A woman from Siliguri Ward No. 35 set an example of honesty by handing over gold jewellery and money she found lying at the roadside to the police.
Sarathi Roy, a resident of the same area, sighted a bag lying at the roadside in the Bhaktinagar Pipeline area, on Saturday evening. Upon opening the bag, she found cash as well as gold jewellery inside it. Following this, she met the Ward Coordinator Chandrani Mandal and reported the whole matter.
As per the Coordinator’s advice, Roy, on Sunday went to NJP police station and handed over the bag to the police.
