Siliguri students stranded in Kota, family members desperately seek help from the State Government

Siliguri, 26th April: Several students from West Bengal are stranded in Kota, Rajasthan due to the nation-wide lockdown.

Needless to say, the students are struggling each day to cope up with the fight against the pandemic. Not only their studies have been hampered, but they are also facing a shortage of food and medicines.

Concerned by their miserable condition in Kota, a Siliguri resident Aniruddha Banerjee as well as the guardians of the stranded students desperately sought help from the State Government to initiate the process of bringing back the students to their respective homes.

On Sunday morning, the guardians visited the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb to hand over a letter that they had written addressing the CM Mamata Banerjee.

However, the Minister refused to receive the letter and asked them to submit it in Uttarkanya to get the required help. He further stated that the State government is aware of the matter and will provide a settlement soon.
