Siliguri restaurant owner struggles to make ends meet, finds an alternative way to earn amid the lockdown

Siliguri, 13th May: Since all restaurants have been shut down due to the nation-wide lockdown, the traders are facing severe economic challenges as they are left with very little money to support their livelihoods.


Bapi Barman, a restaurant owner and a resident of the Siliguri Shibram Pally was compelled to close his restaurant, which is located at the Ward No. 38 Sanghati More area, due to the ongoing lockdown. With no source of income and very little savings left, Barman chose to sell vegetables to earn a living.

However, the alternative taken has not helped him earn enough to feed his family in such a crisis.
