Siliguri, 17th March: On the first day of the Higher Secondary examination, two candidates got into a problematic situation after reaching the wrong examination center in Siliguri. But in the end, with the assistance of the police, they were able to appear for the exam.
Appreciating the work of the police, IC Anupam Majumdar and SI Gopal Chandra Mandal of Siliguri police station were felicitated today. It is to be noted that on Tuesday, March 14, on the first day of the higher secondary examination, two candidates from Siliguri mistakenly reached another examination center. By the time they realized they reached the wrong exam center, it was past time. The said examination center was at Jyotsnamoyee Girls’ High School located in Babupara which upset both the examinees.
During this, the police were busy in security at the examination center of the school. Along with this, SI Gopal Mandal of Siliguri police station was on duty. On coming to know about the happening, he immediately accompanied the candidates in the vehicle and by playing the hooter, both the candidates were taken to their designated centre within a few minutes.
The residents appreciated the role of the police. Today, the members of Seth Srilal Market Byapsayee Samiti and Navchetna praised Siliguri Police Station Incharge IC Anupam Majumdar and SI Gopal Chandra Mandal by presenting flowers and mementos.
