Rajganj, 24th December: Siliguri Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma inaugurated the Canal Road traffic outpost, on Friday. The traffic outpost under New Jalpaiguri police station was inaugurated at Nawapara in Rajganj block.
In this regard, Commissioner Gaurav Sharma said that the Fulbari Gajoldoba Canal Road is an important road. A traffic guard has been set up here to prevent frequent road accidents. Besides, several tourists come to Bhorer Alo tourist center through this route. Hence, this traffic outpost has been constructed from Fulbari Canal Road for safety purposes.
ACP East Joy Tudu, ACP Traffic Suvendra Kumar, IC of NJP Traffic Guard Shanta Sil, OC of NJP Police Station Sameer Tamang, Ambari Outpost OC Sajal Roy, and other police officials were present at the programme.
