Siliguri people spotted flying kites to beat lockdown blues

Siliguri, 18th May: Dealing with boredom during the lockdown can be stressful. With the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown in effect, Siliguri skies have a welcome new addition: soaring, colorful kites.

Even though people have ways of dealing in such situations, one of the common activities that are helping people feel better these days is flying kites on their rooftops every afternoon. Several people are being sighted buying kites in the city during this lockdown period.

Sujit Shil, a resident of Siliguri, was spotted buying kites in Bidhan Market and while addressing the media, he stated that he used to be crazy about flying kites as a kid. However, with increased work pressure, he was unable to enjoy the old fun anymore. He further stated that the lockdown has brought all the memories back and he as well as his family members got a chance to live their childhood once again.

Apart from this, Shil also urged everyone to stay at home in lockdown 4.0 and follow all the government protocols properly.
