Rajganj, 08th May: The Baitarani crematorium of Sahudangi was sanitized today under the joint aegis of Farabari Help Society, COVID Care Network and Siliguri Fight Corona.
The initiative was taken as bodies of COVID-19 patients from different districts were being cremated in the electric furnace of the said crematorium.
Recently, due to the overwhelming number of bodies coming to the crematorium and electrical furnace malfunction, the bodies were being cremated on makeshift pyre. This had created panic in the area, after which the crematorium was sanitized today.
