Siliguri, 07th September: Six railway passengers were arrested for travelling without a ticket during RPF’s special drive days before the puja. Reportedly, the operation was launched keeping in mind the influx of tourists far and wide visiting the state amid the Durga Pujas. The Railway Department is ensuring that no passenger is travelling without a ticket.
On Wednesday, a team of RPF searched each platform of NJP station and arrested the said six railway passengers for not having tickets. Today all were sent to the railway court.
