Siliguri, 16th May: In the memory of late Ward No. 23 Councilor Krishan Chandra Pal, his wife Rupa Pal and son Rayan Pal, on Saturday, distributed ration among 300 poor people in the ward following the government guidelines.
As per the report, several people were given tokens with the help of which they received free ration. Minister Goutam Deb, TMC leader Ranjan Sarkar, and the police officials were present during the programme. More such initiatives are likely to be taken during the entire lockdown period.
