Siliguri, 11th August: Raksha Bandhan is celebrated under the aegis of the Department of Youth Services and Sports of the West Bengal government in Siliguri’s Kanchenjunga Stadium. The event witnessed the presence of Siliguri’s Mayor Goutam Deb as the Chief Guest. He lighted the lamp and commenced the celebration.
The students also tied rakhi to the Mayor to celebrate the day of bond between a brother and sister. Different cultural programs were also organised to celebrate the occasion.
