Protest rally staged in Cooch Behar in demand for separate state and attack on Union Minister of State Nisith Pramanik 

Cooch Behar, 12th March: The Kamtapur Progressive Party Coochbehar District Committee staged a rally in Cooch Behar to protest against the attack on Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik at Burirhat in Dinhata and to demand a separate state. 


 

 


Reportedly, on Sunday the said rally commenced from Cooch Behar Ras Mela ground and circumambulated various routes of the city. In the said rally, slogans were raised against Minister Udayan Guha. 

 

In this regard, the General Secretary of Kamtapur Progressive Party Cooch Behar District Committee, Uttam Kumar Roy said that they staged the rally in demand for a separate state and against the attack made on Union Minister of State Nisith Pramanik. He added that according to the Indian Constitution, apart from the demand for a separate state, there is also a demand for language and culture. Stating the above, he questioned on the safety of people when the minister himself is not safe.
