Siliguri, 31st January: The process of providing land ‘pattas’ in underprivileged localities under Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) is currently underway following the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Recently, during a meeting in Fulbari, the CM instructed to provide land ‘pattas’ to the residents of the underprivileged localities under the SMC.
Reportedly, on Wednesday, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb held a meeting with Darjeeling District Magistrate (DM) Preeti Goyal at Siliguri PWD Inspection Bungalow.
After the meeting, the Mayor stated that on the instructions of the CM, ‘pattas’ will be provided to about 10,000 dwellers. He added that the same can be provided to the people residing in railway land, once the Railways hand over the land to the State Government.
