Siliguri, 09th February: The Pradhan Nagar Police arrested a woman along with 8.4 kg of cannabis. The arrested has been identified as Mampi Adhikari.
As per the report, Mampi Adhikari reached Siliguri from Cooch Behar last night on a passenger bus. She was on her way to Balurghat for smuggling cannabis.
Upon receiving the news, the Pradhan Nagar Police launched operations at Siliguri Junction and seized 8 kg 400 grams of cannabis from her possession. A case was filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the woman was produced at the Siliguri court today. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
