Dhupguri, 16th August: A policeman was injured after being hit by a vehicle near Dhupguri College Para area. The injured policeman has been identified as Parikshit Barman. He is a resident of Ghoksadanga area of Cooch Behar.
As per the report, Barman was heading towards Falakata from Dhupguri on his motorbike when a vehicle hit his bike from behind, severely injuring him.
After the incident, the locals rushed the policeman to Dhupguri Hospital, where he was referred to Jalpaiguri District Hospital after his condition deteriorated. Dhupguri police have taken the fatal vehicle into their possession.
