Police of Panitanki Outpost solves the robbery case within 6 days

Siliguri, 18th September: Siliguri Metropolitan’s Panitanki Outpost Police have succeeded in solving the case of a theft in a house within 6 days. Police have arrested a woman involved in the robbery from Raiganj and brought her to Siliguri. However, the police are yet to recover the stolen goods.


The alleged accused goes by many aliases. According to police records, the accused woman’s name has been identified as Bandana Burman alias Seema, alias Mamuni, she is a resident of Raiganj in Uttar Dinajpur district.

Reportedly, on the 11th of September, a robbery took place in the residence of Manav Chakraborty. After which the next day Manav Chakraborty lodged a written complaint in Panitanki Out Post. In the complaint, he told that Seema Burman, a maid working in his house, had fled from the house after stealing Rs 02 lakh 89 thousand in cash, and about 80 pieces of gold and valuables.


Based on the complaint, the police found Seema’s address after which, the police of the Panitanki outpost reached Raiganj on Saturday and arrested her. The Police have presented her in the Siliguri court today, where the court directed to keep the accused Seema Burman on police remand for 8 days. Police are probing the entire incident.
