Siliguri, 27th March: In a significant breakthrough, the Pradhan Nagar police station has arrested a notorious criminal with a firearm and a live cartridge in Siliguri. The arrested accused, identified as MD Sagar, is originally a resident of Malda but currently resides in Vishwas Colony of Matigara.
According to police sources, MD Sagar was wandering with the firearms in the Siliguri Junction NBSTC bus stand area late on Tuesday night, on the occasion of Holi. During police patrolling, MD Sagar was apprehended and interrogated.
During this, the police recovered a firearm and a live cartridge cleverly hidden in his possession. Following this, MD Sagar was arrested for illegal possession of firearms. On Wednesday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri court, while further investigation is underway.
