Siliguri, 19th April: After an incident of proxy polling in the booth of the Ektiasal area of Dabgram-Fulbari, another individual was caught at the same booth and was found to be a phony polling agent.
According to reports, a police officer had visited the polling station and spotted an individual at the booth. Despite claiming to be a polling agent, the individual could not produce any valid documentation. As a result, the individual was escorted out of the polling booth. Subsequently, the matter was promptly informed to the presiding officer and the central forces.
Earlier, in a similar incident, an individual was caught casting a vote for the second time.
