Rajganj, 13th August: Sensation prevailed after a toto parked was stolen from a house in Dhakaiya Basti of Fulbari No. 02 Gram Panchayat. The incident took place on Friday night. It has been alleged that the number of theft cases has been on a rise in Fulbari area.
Reportedly, Sanjit Mandal is the sole breadwinner of his family who earned by running the toto. There are four members in the family including his wife. The theft took place on Friday night, when Sanjit slept after putting the vehicle on charge. When he woke up this morning, he found his toto was missing. With the toto as their only source of income, the family has to now bear a great financial loss.
After receiving the information about the incident, New Jalpaiguri Police and Gram Panchayat Pradhan Dilip Roy reached the spot. He alleged that such incidents of theft are becoming a common problem in the area. Valuable items from houses and shops and parts of parked trucks are being stolen. It is also being speculated that a gang is carrying out such criminal acts in the area. Therefore, the New Jalpaiguri Police has been asked to investigate seriously and increase patrolling in the area. Police have started investigating the entire incident.
