Oxygen plant to be set up at Alipurduar District Sadar Hospital

Alipurduar, 27th April: An oxygen plant is being set up at Alipurduar District Sadar Hospital to meet the oxygen shortage. It has been learned that a pipeline will also be set up to carry oxygen from this plant to the patients’ beds. The entire project will cost 60 lakh rupees.


Alipurduar District Hospital Superintendent Chinmoy Barman said that the project would benefit patients, doctors, and nurses. The hospital will have an oxygen plant and a pipeline to the patient’s beds. Oxygen pipelines will also be attached to the designated beds for COVID patients. Besides, the pipeline will reach other wards too.

The agency has been instructed to complete the work immediately. Work is underway to set up an oxygen plant just behind the emergency department of the district hospital.
