Siliguri, 02nd February: A tragic incident surfaced in Siliguri where an individual lost his life, while another person sustained severe injuries after being hit by a speeding car on Siliguri’s Sevoke Road. The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Mittal, a resident of Punjabi Para in Siliguri. The injured is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
As per reports, on Thursday night, Mukesh and his friends were standing on Siliguri’s Sevoke Road when a speeding car rammed into them resulting in severe injuries to two individuals. After the incident, the injured were transported to a nearby private hospital where Mukesh Mittal was declared dead. Meanwhile, the three occupants of the car fled from the scene. Upon receiving the news, the Bhakti Nagar Police arrived at the spot.
On Friday, the acquaintances and friends of the deceased arrived at the police station and demanded the arrest of the accused. Currently, the police are on a hunt to apprehend the accused driver by examining the CCTV footage and vehicle registration details.
