Siliguri, 08th August: The undercover cops of Pradhan Nagar Police Station, acting on a tip-off, arrested a person while he was smuggling a huge quantity of liquor. The accused was caught just before he could smuggle the liquor into Bihar. The alleged accused has been identified as Suraj Kumar, a resident of Bihar.
Reportedly, the accused was waiting for a bus at Siliguri’s Junction with the consignment to board a bus to Bihar. The police launched an operation and nabbed him. Upon searching his bag, they recovered a large quantity of liquor worth lakhs of rupees.
The police have filed a case against the accused in the Siliguri court on charges of illegally smuggling liquor into Bihar. The police are investigating the entire case.
