Siliguri, 29th December: Acting on specific intel, the Pradhan Nagar Police arrested one person namely Raj Kumar Tamang of Namchi, South Sikkim at SNT Bus Terminal, Siliguri.
Upon searching, 150 bottles of illegal cough syrup were recovered from his possession. On being questioned, he could not produce any valid documents. He was transporting them to Sikkim for its sale to his designated customers for illegal gain.
The accused Raj Kumar Tamang has been arrested and a specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been initiated against him at Pradhan Nagar Police station.
