Siliguri, 23rd September: The Bhakti Nagar police arrested a person on the charge of tire theft. The accused has been identified as Raju Singh alias Kala. Police have also recovered two stolen tires from the said pickup van.
Reportedly, several tires were being stolen from vehicles parked on the road during the night. A complaint was lodged also lodged with the police in this regard. After this, the police engaged in the investigation and arrested Raju Singh in connection with the incident.
According to police sources, Raju Singh alias Kala was arrested earlier in a theft case. Despite this, he started stealing the tires of vehicles at night. Two days back, two tires of a pickup van were stolen from the Prakash Nagar area. The complaint was lodged at the police station. After receiving the complaint, the police of Bhaktinagar police station went undercover and arrested Raju from the Prakash Nagar area. Police today registered a case against the accused and presented him in the Siliguri court. Police are probing the whole matter.
