Malda, 30th January: An individual was accused of raping a five-year-old girl in the Akandaberia Ramakant Tola area of Block-III under Kaliachak Police station. Meanwhile, the Police have arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Badal Ghosh.
It has been alleged that Badal Ghosh raped the five-year-old girl by luring her to the Ambagan, on Wednesday morning. The girl, then, informed her family members about the incident.
Later, the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the Kaliachak Police station. Based on the complaint, the Police arrested the accused. The family members of the said girl have demanded strict punishment for the accused.
