Raiganj, 20th September: Based on a tip-off, the Hematabad police, on Saturday night, launched operations at the Lakkhidanga more and arrested a youth along with 50 grams of heroin worth lakhs of rupees. The arrested accused has been identified as Nazimuddin (26), a resident of the Hematabad Block Bangalbari Balufara area.
Reportedly, a measuring device, a mobile phone, and a motorbike were recovered from his possession.
Raiganj District Additional Superintendent of Police Yashpreet Singh stated that the market value of the recovered heroin has been estimated to be around lakhs of rupees. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
The arrested accused was produced before the Raiganj court today.
