Siliguri, 04th January: The NJP police arrested one on the charge of burglary. The arrested accused has been identified as Mangal Biswas, a resident of Fulbari Bashundhara Awasan.
Reportedly, on December 25, Mangal Biswas and Lakshman Roy rented a truck from Kishore Paswan, a resident of Bhaktinagar. Allegedly, after two days, the duo demanded ransom to Paswan for returning the truck. Following which, he, on January 02, lodged a complaint at the NJP police station.
The Police launched investigations and arrested the accused Mangal Biswas yesterday and recovered the stolen truck from Fulbari Paschim Dhantala. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Monday. Meanwhile, the Police are searching for another accused Lakshman Roy.
