Siliguri, 22nd April: Despite repeated reminders to stay home and not to come out on the streets unnecessarily, there have been several complaints of people gathering at various corners around the city deliberately violating the lockdown.
In this regard, the NJP police launched operations in Ambika Nagar, Shantipara, More Bazar, South Colony, and the surrounding areas of NJP police station on Wednesday and detained 4 violators.
The police were also spotted resorting to lathi-charge to disperse the violators.
