Siliguri, 03rd March: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police, on Tuesday, launched operations at the Fulbari Toll plaza area and arrested a man along with brown sugar. The arrested has been identified as Mizanur Sheikh, a resident of Nadia.
148 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession. The market value of the recovered brown sugar has been estimated to be around 1.5 lakh rupees.
According to police sources, Mizanur Sheikh has a record of being involved in such anti-social activities. He was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
