Siliguri, 16th March: The Jalpaiguri court has granted bail to 11 accused individuals, including Bapi Paul, secretary of the Truck Owners Association, who was arrested for carrying out vandalism at NJP’s land port. However, the main accused Prasenjit Roy is still behind bars.
After getting the bail, they offered prayers at a temple in NJP and later visited their organization’s office.
Defending himself, Bapi Paul said that they were framed in false cases because they were working in the interest of the workers. He asserted that they will continue to work for the organization despite any challenges.
