Netaji High School’s students rally for plastic-free Siliguri and to create dengue awareness

Siliguri, 13th August: Plastic has been banned across the nation. Different organizations and associations are initiating campaigns and launching rallies to make the city plastic-free. People are being made aware of the ban on plastic use and the problems that it creates. On behalf of Netaji High School, students took out a rally for Plastic Free City and Dengue Awareness to commemorate India’s 75th Independence. 


Today, the students rallied from the school premises and through the area of Rathkhola Bazar and Subhash Pally Bazar. The students created awareness by distributing leaflets among the passers-by and businesspeople throughout the rally. The school is also known as Swachh School because they organize such campaigns and social awareness programs throughout the year. Even today, the school took out rally in order to spread awareness of the plastic-use as much as they can. 

In this regard, Asim Adhikari, chairperson of the school management committee, said that the government has planned to make the country plastic-free. The rally was organized to create awareness in people and also create dengue awareness through the leaflets which were also distributed.
