NBMCH doctor discharged from the hospital after beating COVID-19

Siliguri, 24th May: The ophthalmologist of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital was discharged from the COVID-19 Hospital in Matigara today, after winning the battle against novel coronavirus.


It is to recall, the doctor was admitted to the COVID-19 hospital after testing positive for the virus a few days ago. According to Chief Health Officer Pralay Acharya, the doctor had traveled to Kolkata and returned to Siliguri in a bus along with 26 other medical staff.

He underwent medical treatment after reaching Siliguri. When the reports came back positive, the doctor was admitted to the COVID-19 hospital in Matigara, while the other 26 medical members, who had accompanied him on the bus, have been kept in a government home quarantine.
