Nandigram, Midnapore wants ‘Bhoomiputra’, not outsider’ hoardings spotted in Nandigram

With the rising political temperature in the poll-bound Bengal, hoardings were seen near the place where Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is staying in Nandigram. The hoardings read – ‘Nandigram, Midnapore wants its own son and not outsider’.

The move comes as Mamata Banerjee campaigns to win Nandigram against her aide-turned-rival and BJP heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari. It is to be noted, Adhikari had earlier called himself “bhoomiputra” (son of the soil) and Banerjee an “outsider” in Nandigram, the day she announced to contest the assembly election from the said seat.

While the political scene continues to boil up, Mamata Banerjee filed her nomination papers from the Nandigram seat on Wednesday.
