Fulbari, 04th July: In a shocking incident, three mobile phones were stolen from two separate rooms in the Ghatmabari area of Paschim Dhantala under Fulbari II Gram Panchayat after thieves allegedly targeted houses with open windows during the night.
According to reports, due to the intense heat, residents had left their windows slightly open while sleeping. Taking advantage of the situation, miscreants reportedly entered the houses and stole mobile phones.
It has been learned that Shibani Roy, a nursing trainee from Maynaguri who was staying in a rented house in the area for training at a private hospital in Fulbari, had her mobile phone stolen on Friday night. She noticed the theft on Saturday morning after waking up and finding her phone missing.

The incident has left the nursing trainee in difficulty, while the house owner’s family has also expressed anger over the theft. Following the complaint, the New Jalpaiguri police have been informed and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
