MLA Sikha Chatterjee stopped by police while entering Ward No. 33 in Siliguri

Siliguri, 19th April: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sikha Chatterjee from Dabgram-Fulbari was stopped by the police while entering Ward No. 33 of Siliguri. It is to be noted that the MLA has been visiting several booths under Dabgram-Fulbari since Friday morning.


Reportedly, while responding to allegations of booth jam in Ward No. 33, the MLA arrived to meet the BJP workers. During this, she was allegedly obstructed by the police. However, the MLA moved out from the scene.

Subsequently, the BJP MLA reached her office and expressed resentment against the police. The MLA alleged that the police were following the instructions of the TMC. She added that she cannot be stopped and would continue her booth visits. The MLA further accused the policemen of harassment.
