Fulbari, 27th June: Ending years of inconvenience faced by locals, MLA Sikha Chatterjee laid the foundation stone for the construction of a paved road from Bhola More to Rajbanshi More under Fulbari I Gram Panchayat on Saturday.
Residents had long complained about the poor condition of the road, which caused severe difficulties for daily commuters and pedestrians. Despite repeated demands from residents for repairs, progress had been delayed for years. With the initiation of the project, locals have expressed relief and satisfaction.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Sikha Chatterjee said that the road had remained in a highly damaged condition for a long time, with large potholes making movement difficult for the public. Acting on public demand, the construction work has now been formally initiated. She added that the 900-metre-long road project will cost approximately ₹17 lakh.
Several local leaders and representatives were present at the foundation stone laying ceremony, including Dabargram-Fulbari I Mandal President Rahul Barman, Panchayat members Dayal Roy, Uttam Sarkar, Swapna Singh, Mamoni Das, and others.
