Siliguri, 14th September: Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Sikha Chatterjee inaugurated the Nabagram Ganesh Puja on Sunday night as the celebration enters its 11th year. The puja began with a grand programme held as part of the inauguration ceremony.
As in previous years, the Nabagram Ganesh Puja Committee has prepared several cultural and social programmes during the festival. The area has already taken on a festive atmosphere ahead of the celebrations.
Sikha Chatterjee, the BJP MLA from Dabgram-Fulbari, attended the inauguration ceremony and formally opened the puja by cutting a ribbon. She also wished the organisers success for the event.
According to the committee, the festive atmosphere will continue in the Nabagram area over the next few days with various programmes.
