Siliguri, 14th September: Ganesh Puja celebrations have begun across Siliguri, with the fifth Ganesh Puja organised by the Night Owl Association emerging as a special attraction this year. The puja features a pandal named Omkar Ganesh Dham.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista formally inaugurated the puja. Following the inauguration, a large number of visitors began gathering at the puja pandal.
Night Owl Association Joint Secretary Uttam Saha said a steady flow of visitors has been seen at the pandal since the inauguration and the number is expected to increase over the coming days.
The puja committee has also organised a special Bhog distribution programme on September 16. In addition, the Night Owl Association has released a special theme song for this year’s Puja.
