Mithun Chakraborty responds to CM’s ‘traitor’ remarks during a roadshow in Siliguri

Siliguri, 18th April: BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for calling him ‘a traitor’ in her public meeting in Raiganj. Significantly, on Thursday, Chakraborty conducted a roadshow in Siliguri, starting from Gurung Basti to Champasari.


According to reports, the CM held a public meeting in Raiganj. During this, Banerjee termed Mithun Chakraborty as ‘another traitor of Bengal’ and criticized him for his political involvement. In response to this, Mithun Chakraborty remarked that the growing number of BJP supporters has deeply affected the Chief Minister. He retorted to the CM’s remarks stating that he was not a traitor but a soldier.

In addition, he expressed that he felt that the CM was ‘mentally unstable’. Further addressing the situation, Chakraborty expressed optimism regarding BJP’s results in the upcoming elections.
