Phansidewa, 06th September: Sensation prevailed in the area of Bidhanagar when a class III student got washed away while taking a bath in the Chenga River on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Surya Singh (9). No trace of him has been found yet even after a day of searching.
Reportedly, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on Monday, Surya had gone to school. On his way back from school in the afternoon, he along with his friends had gone to take bathe in the river. As soon as he got down to the river to take bath, he got swept away in the currents of water.
The local youths informed the police after searching for him in the river for a long time. As soon as the news was received, the Phansidewa police reached the spot in the night itself. The NDRF team has started the search for the missing minor since this morning but till now no trace of him has been found.
